The owners host a group of disabled veterans that I am part of every year and take us fly fishing. The location is great! Close enough to town to get something to snack on but far enough away to feel secluded.
Camp Woodward is a money sucking company that promotes sports for the rich and famous, but not the hard working people. My 13 year old daughter was going to Woodward with her gymnastics team. The week before she was set to go, she was injured and was told she could no long do gymnastics. I called right away to let them know. I completely understood not getting the deposit back, however these are athletes and injuries can occur at anytime. they told me they would credit it account for the following year. I told them 5 times that my daughter will never be able to do gymnastics again, but policy was policy. $1400 and no sympathy. I explained that I was a single parent and paid a little every month to pay off the huge one week tuition. The rude gentleman did not want to hear what I had to say. If you look up Woodward, it clear that with their many locations all over the world, my little tuition would not put them out of business.
My not won't stop talking about his two weeks here. Good kids in his group 9-12 year olds. No bullies. Lots to do. I wish the instruction was more regimented. You have to ask the instructor to help you with a move. I'd prefer they just introduce a few new ones everyday. As beginners they could all use the practice even if they know the move already.
